Chester Arthritis Group hear Scam message from Home Instead

Co-owners of Home Instead Senior Care in Chester and Ellesmere Port, Sue and Chris Broadbent have been on the road in the locality to spread the message about fraud awareness. Recently they gave an informative talk to the Local Arthritis Group who meet each month at Caldy Valley Church hall in Great Boughton. The talk was given to over 30 of its members, and they heard about the tactics used by scammers who target the old and vulnerable.

Sue, who is pictured with chairman, Peter Thompson said ‘we have been serving our Clients for nearly 10 years throughout the Chester and Ellesmere Port area. We visit them regularly and provide personalised care in their own home to help keep them safe and independent. Unfortunately, the number of scammers who target people like our Clients is on the increase. We therefore wish to continue to spread the message about this problem throughout the community. Chris and I also enjoyed chatting to many of the members after we had done the talk. Helping older people to stay safely in their own home is something we feel very passionately about. We hope these types of talks will help the elderly who require support at home become more aware of these issues’.
