Chester Home Instead donates Dementia book to local libraries

Dementia care for the elderly at home is becoming more and more needed on a daily basis, and with this in mind a local company who specialises in dementia care are taking the lead. Co-owners of Home Instead Senior Care in Chester and Ellesmere Port, Chris and Sue Broadbent are visiting the local libraries in their area to donate the book ‘Confidence to Care’ by Molly Carpenter. This book is a practical guide to all CAREGivers and carers who may support a loved one who has dementia. One of their first stops was Great Boughton and Vicars Cross library where they donated the book, which was gratefully received by the local librarians.

Chris said ‘ we already look after over 130 clients in the Chester and Ellesmere Port area in their own homes, many of whom have some form of dementia. Our CAREGivers are fully trained in both dementia and our ground-breaking Alzheimer's care. This book has many of the key points of this training and we are passionate about people being supported in their own homes when they have dementia. It only seems right that we are making this small gesture to help support the local community by donating this to our local libraries.
