With temperatures falling to minus 11 degrees and snow falling across Gloucestershire this week Caregivers at Home Instead Senior Care Cheltenham and Cotswolds have been gearing up to ensure the cold weather does not prevent them from continuing to provide essential support for older people in their own homes.
In cold weather these services can become even more important and this week, three of the Home Instead team who faced particularly cold and snowy journeys through Cotswold villages received a special thank you from owner Amanda Hamer for ensuring clients received the personal care they needed, as usual.
Company owner Amanda Hamer said: "Our Caregivers give vital support and assistance to many elderly people around the county who otherwise may not be able to go shopping and prepare warm food, who may need help getting in and out of bed or may need to be reminded about taking their medication, for example".
" Kate Webster, Agharad Davies and Vikki Barker all had difficult journeys to make but were determined to get through. They show just what a fantastic, committed team we have here at the Cheltenham and Cotswolds office!"
Caregivers are always advised to go out well prepared, with extra clothes, food, water and a shovel just in case they are needed, and good communications are maintained at all times to ensure personal safety is not put at risk.
