With less than a couple of weeks to go before she takes the plunge, Michelle our Care Manager has been busy getting into training for the big day.
In support of Age UK and older people, Michelle will soon be taking to the air for her tandem skydive, raising funds for this important charity as she goes. Although not a complete stranger to extreme sports, this is the first time ever she has jumped out of a plane and she is determined to ensure she gets the most out of this amazing experience.
As Michelle explains:" Being a newcomer to skydiving I wanted to get myself as fit as possible for the event, so I've been doing some sessions in the gym, maintaining a healthy diet and trying to find out as much as possible about what to expect. My aim in doing this is to raise as much money as I can to go to Age UK Gloucestershire and I'm already well on my way to reaching my target. The fact that I'll be enjoying a once-in-a-lifetime experience is a real bonus! "
To enable Michelle to achieve her fundraising goal in support of older people in the county, she would welcome any donations, by phone, cheque, or - easiest of all - online through Just Giving.com. For details, contact Michelle on 01242 513203.
