Quality Care

Each year we ask our clients and CAREGivers to complete a questionnaire in confidence to tell us what is working and what isn't. This year's survey was conducted in June 2015 by an independent market research company we are delighted to have received a huge vote of confidence – as both a homecare provider and an employer in turn - 98% of clients would recommend us, 100% of CAREGivers are proud to work for us and 97% of CAREGivers say they are given enough time to deliver the desired levels of care to clients.

What clients said:

  • 98% say their CAREGiver takes an interest in them as a person
  • 98% say their CAREGiver is well matched to their needs
  • 92% say their CAREGiver goes the extra mile to make a positive difference to their life
  • 96% rate the quality of the service as good or excellent

Delighted with the findings, Jan & Steve Gapper Owners of Home Instead Central Hampshire said: “We are committed to providing only the very best care and companionship to our clients and it is good to know that we are getting it right. We take time to care, both for our clients and our CAREGivers. It’s good to know that we are getting it right in their eyes too.

“Our calls are a minimum of one hour because we believe quality care can’t be delivered in less. And we make sure that our clients are well matched to their CAREGivers based on mutual interests. The survey results demonstrate just how important this is, as 98% of clients agreed that their CAREGiver is matched to their needs and the same percentage feel their CAREGiver takes an interest in them as a person. We believe relationship-led homecare has to have these core principles at its heart.

“But changing the face of homecare isn’t just about our clients. It is also about our CAREGivers, the incredible people who go the extra mile each and every day caring for their clients, special people who are recruited for their empathy and compassion.”

The results show that CAREGivers feel valued, respected and part of the bespoke Home Instead ethos: 100% understood why Home Instead is different from other care companies, 97% say they are given enough time to deliver desired levels of care to clients, 94% would recommend Home Instead to a friend or family member as a place to work, 100% would recommend its services to friend and 97% say their job gives them the opportunity to learn and develop new skills.
