Information & Resources
Following the success of last year's Family Dementia Workshops we will be running a further series of three workshops over the coming months.
The ground-breaking family workshops were adapted from the company’s City & Guilds accredited dementia training programme, specifically developed for Home Instead’s CAREGivers. They help both family carers and community members to identify the typical signs of dementia and gain a better understanding of the condition, as well as arming them with effective techniques for managing the many different and sometimes challenging behaviours associated with the condition.
Please contact the office to find out when the next workshop will be held.
The Senior Fraud Protection public education programme from Home Instead Senior Care is designed to safeguard older people from the many scams and cons that could jeopardise not only their life savings but their health and independence.
More than seven out of ten older people in Britain (over 6.6 million people) are targeted by scams every month and the National Fraud Authority estimates that £1.5 billion was stolen from older people in 2012/13.
Our programme gives older people and their families the information to help protect against scams and cons. We are happy to talk to any group large or small that might benefit.
To book a talk please call Steve on 01962 736681 or email him at email@example.com
We have been very impressed with the way your staff have coped with Mum and they have all acted very caringly and very professionally. Barbara has been a particular star. After Mum had an assessment by Social Services, we were allocated 4 hours per week respite care (but not allowed to use Home Instead!) starting just nine weeks ago in the middle of January. The service from the other care provider has been nothing like as impressive. I have already passed your details to a friend and I hope they will take up your service. You deserve to do well.Mrs A
