Being a CAREGiver
If you or someone you know have a few hours to spare and would really like to make a difference to someone's life in your local community in Winchester, Alresford, Chandlers Ford or Eastleigh then please get in touch. We offer flexible hours (with some weekend and evenings) and we are happy for people to apply with availability from just a few hours a week up to thirty hours a week.
We care about our team members as well as we care for our clients and, as a result, our staff turnover is very low. We have regular staff meetings and staff social events as well as offering lots of additional training which staff tell us helps them deliver better care for their clients. We have just launched specialist dementia training that has been approved by City & Guilds.
The results of a survey show that our CAREGivers feel valued, respected and part of the bespoke Home Instead ethos: 100% understood why Home Instead is different from other care companies, 97% say they are given enough time to deliver desired levels of care to clients, 94% would recommend Home Instead to a friend or family member as a place to work, 100% would recommend its services to friend and 97% say their job gives them the opportunity to learn and develop new skills. This video provides a summary of what makes us different.
We like to make the process of joining our team as straightforward as possible and so normally we would invite you in for an informal chat over a cup of tea. This gives you the chance to see what we are like and us the chance to find out more about you. If it looks like it is going to work for both of us then you can take away an application form and complete it at your leisure knowing that your application will be considered seriously.
As well as the usual DBS checks and references, we do apply one other rule and that is, "Would I be happy for this person look after my own Mum or Dad?" All of our staff have to pass this test before we would consider them for employment with us.
We are absolutely confident that you will enjoy working as part of our team because some staff already tell us that working for Home Instead Senior Care is like being paid to visit your friends!
We asked some of our fantastic CAREGivers why they joined us and what they liked about working with us - click on the links below to find out more (video will open in a new window).
So, if this sounds like it could be for you, then pick up the phone and give us a call on 01962 736681 or alternatively find the Employment Enquiry page on our website and fill in your details. We will be in touch soon afterwards!
I wanted to pass on my grateful thanks for the consistently high standard of care which was delivered by all your staff during Mum's recent illness. You can be proud of the appreciation which we all feel for the Home Instead crew members who cared for Mum. The outcome is not what we had hoped for, but my wife and I know that the high standard of care when Mum was at home was a considerable comfort to all involved.MH-E
