The Canary Wharf Team
Fahima Khatun - Owner
Following my Mechanical Engineering Masters obtained at King’s College London, I worked as the Head of Business Development at a homeware distributor where my main responsibility was to manage the company’s retail arm. The combination of my thorough analytical skills gained through my Masters degree and the essential transferable skills I established through my employment placed me in an excellent position to start a Home Instead franchise and develop it into a successful care provider with QUALITY at its core.
I reached a stage in my life where I wished to apply my experience and talents to an endeavour that would not only bring me personal reward but also contribute positively to my local community, such that my hard work and extended efforts would make a more meaningful difference to others. The care of the elderly is an issue that is particularly close to me, having been brought up in a culture that places great emphasis on the matter. Thus I joined Home Instead confident in the knowledge that I had the opportunity to bring a constructive change to people’s lives which ultimately offered me the greatest satisfaction.
As the Owner of Home Instead Canary Wharf, I strive to successfully educate and meet the needs of my local community in providing quality care. My company is dedicated through and through to the welfare of the senior members of our society and we help ensure that they are able to live fulfilling and independent lives without their age becoming a barrier. My foremost objective therefore is to maintain our strong presence as the top rated local care provider for the elderly.
My role as creator of new employment opportunities for my local people is also incredibly rewarding in every sense. Our family of empathetic and nurturing CAREGivers have an overwhelmingly compassionate culture and we attract fantastic members of the community who both share and deliver my values in the most professional manner.
Bethany Hodgkinson - Care Supervisor
I became a Care Supervisor with Home Instead Senior Care after having been a CAREGiver for several months. My first-hand experience in providing help for the elderly has been invaluable in increasing my understanding of the unique and often overlooked challenges faced by the older members of our society, and working with clients to provide them with the means to live independent lives in their own homes has been among the most fulfilling aspects of my role.
I have had a passion for working with the elderly since an early age, always seeking to make a meaningful difference to their lives. When I discovered Home Instead Senior Care and learned about their philosophy, I knew this was the organisation for me. Being part of a company to help ensure that clients receive premium quality care is, I feel, the best way to make that difference.
Working as Care Supervisor has been a role that I absolutely love, and I take pride in making sure that our clients receive the very best care available. At Home Instead, we give dignity, respect and understanding to our clients and make it our mission to provide high-quality care that is tailored to the individual needs of each person, never forgetting to make them feel valued and in control. We spend a great deal of time and effort in matching clients with the ideal CAREGivers to make sure that the service is relationship-driven, being more like a friendship rather than work.
I’m looking forward to a future being at a company with such an excellent reputation and helping them to continue to achieve the highest standards possible.
Our CAREGiver’s share our passion for delivering the highest level of care and for making a meaningful difference to people's lives. They are caring, compassionate individuals, who pride themselves in filling a client’s day with assistance, encouragement and stimulation.
I would like to go on record to say that my CAREGiver is absolutely delightful and her work is faultless.Mr David J, Bermondsey
