Being a CAREGiver
Home Instead CAREGivers are some of the most extraordinary people around. Their commitment, compassion and reliability has paved the way for Home Instead to become recognised as the very best home care provider nationally. And in order to remain at the top of our game, we are always looking for the next potential CAREGiver to join us.
Why be a CAREGiver?
There are few other part-time jobs that can change people’s lives so quickly. Our CAREGivers allow people who have become vulnerable, isolated, unhappy and at risk of losing their home, to get a new lease of life. With their help, clients can continue to live at home, be happier and remain a valuable part of society. These actions can help extend a person’s life by several years.
The impact a CAREGiver can have on an individual’s life and their families, is immeasurable, and the personal reward and satisfaction for the CAREGiver are second to none.
What kinds of things does a CAREGiver do?
CAREGivers can help clients in a number of ways. They can provide companionship at the client’s home by simply having a conversation whilst watching TV with them, or help with light housekeeping such as vacuuming and tidying, or taking their client to the local shops. CAREGivers can also help with personal care, such as helping their client get dressed or having a shower.
CAREGivers are only expected to undertake activities that they are comfortable doing.
What do you need to be a CAREGiver?
Compassion, reliability and a desire to spend some time with the elderly. That’s it. We provide all the training. Experience isn’t necessary either, just a caring nature.
