We have over 70 CAREGivers delivering amazing care and support to our clients each day. As we need caregivers to match clients, our CAREGivers possess a whole range of skills and backgrounds, with an average age of 52 for our local team here in Bolton.
We believe that it takes a certain type of person who has a vocation to make a difference to someone's life, and to want to be a CAREGiver. Our selection process ensures we recruit the most caring individuals to provide the Home Instead service.
We also have a team of Senior CAREGivers who provide support and work with the office team, and this provides career progression opportunities too.

Care Manager - Angela Owen
I joined Home Instead Senior Care as the manager in 2012. Prior to joining the team here I worked in residential care for over 20 years, starting out as a Care Assistant and working up to Care Manager. After 10 years as the manager of a local residential home I made the decision to pursue a new challenge in the care industry and move in to domiciliary care.
I am passionate about delivering excellent care and ensuring a person centred approach is at the heart of how our service is delivered. I have a strong belief that we can work collaboratively with our clients to help them maintain as much of independence as possible in their own environment.
Caregiver Recruitment - Alex Else
Hi, I'm Alexandra. I joined the Home Instead Bolton in 2017 looking for a complete change in career. I began my journey as admin assistant, and in February 2018 I became Bolton’s recruiter.
I absolutely love this role. From advertising, identifying, interviewing and preparing our new CAREGivers for their Home Instead journey gives me immense satisfaction. It is the best decision I have ever made! Home Instead truly have a passion in caregiving and looking after the whole team.
Head of Caregiver Experience - Deb Russell
I initially joined Home Instead in 2013 as a CAREGiver. I was completely devoted to my clients and the quality of service they received. I then became involved in the training of new caregivers coming forward as I could pass my knowledge and experience on to our potential newbees.
My role then expanded into recruitment. Experiences in caregiving enabled me to bring forward CAREGivers with the qualities Home Instead requires, through the selection, training and the mentoring period. I am also looking at retention and what makes our CAREGivers happy in their job as happy caregivers make happy clients!
Throughout all my development, I am still a CAREGiver, which I love and will not give up as I believe that it is essential to enable me to do my job well and give my support to our CAREGivers.

I was given the opportunity to join the office team a few months later, I really enjoy the work I do, this gives me great satisfaction ensuring our clients and caregivers are well matched and happy
Care Co-ordinator - Kelly Rooke
Hi I’m Kelly,
I started working with Home Instead Bolton in September 2015 as a CAREGiver. Prior to this I had no experience in the care sector but I knew this was the path I wanted to take. I was delighted In 2017 to be offered the role of Scheduler within the office. I really do enjoy this role, no two days are the same. I really do care about our clients and CAREGivers and always ensure they have the continuity and the outstanding care that Home Instead as a company pride ourselves on.
Deputy Manager - Claire Ashcroft
I first started my career in care in 2005 to gain more experience to care for my grandparents and I've never looked back! I began my journey in a residential home, gained my NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care and progressed to Senior Carer. Although I loved my job in the residential home I felt I had a lot more to offer out in the community. I was excited to join Home Instead Bolton in April 2013 as Staff Coordinator and I have really enjoying growing with the company. I recently completed ILM Level 3 Diploma in Management and have progressed to Deputy Care Manager. I’m currently working towards my Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Health & Social Care. It is very rewarding to be part of Home Instead, an organisation who have a great reputation and ethos regarding high quality person centred care, and are prepared to invest time and energy recruiting, training and developing the right staff.
Admin Assistant - Sarah Deveney
Hi I’m Sarah - I joined the team here early in 2018. If you called today you are more than likely to speak to me as our first point of contact, I will answer any queries you have or pass you on to the appropriate person to deal with your enquiry.
I support all the office team with admin duties and I am responsible for looking after both Client and CAREGiver files, as well as preparing documentation for training and meetings.
Director - David Deller
Hello, I’m David – owner of Home Instead Senior Care in Bolton. My background was in the construction industry, where I had been working for a number of years as a quantity surveyor. I left this role as I wanted to do something that was both worthwhile to others and provide me with a vocation I could be proud of. After some research, the ethos of Home Instead stood out as something that matched this desire perfectly. I have set up Home Instead Senior Care Bolton with the help and backing of my family, who also provide support in the every day running of the business. Raised in Bolton, I have a passion to provide a quality service to the community that has given so much to me. By being involved in the community it is clear that there are amazing, caring people and organisations on our doorstep with whom I am keen to build relationships. If Home Instead Senior Care can help you or a loved one continue to embrace the wonderful communities that we live in, or just help with the everyday tasks that are becoming too much, then I would love to find you a friend who can help. Having been involved with Home Instead since we started in the UK I’ve been committed to helping build a service that delivers the highest possible level of care for older people - the service they deserve. It’s great to see the recognition that we are now achieving as a result of our hard work, and we were really excited to win the Queens Award for Enterprise : Innovation in 2016. I’m delighted to be the co – owner of the Bolton office, serving local people providing the best care and support possible. With our fantastic and dedicated office team and caring, highly trained CAREGivers, we can be trusted to look after you or your family member with the best possible care.
