Choosing a home care provider that is right for you can be difficult, but you can rest assured that we take client satisfaction very seriously - it sits at the heart of the person-centred care service we provide.
To make sure we remain the nation's favourite home care provider, we survey our clients to find out what we are doing well and areas where we can do even better. This survey helps us to ensure that we are making a difference to the lives of the people we care for.
We are delighted that in our most recent survey (June 2015) our clients have given us a tremendous thumbs up with 96% reporting that they would be happy to recommend Home Instead's care service.
Our clients feel they are receiving dignified, relationship-led, reliable care, care they would personally recommend. What better endorsement for Home Instead Senior Care than our client's words. Read some of the heart-warming comments our clients gave as part of this year's survey and are happy to share.
“ On the homecare.co.uk website there are many reviews, given independently by past and present clients. It is well worth clicking on the link below to read some of these reviews.https://www.homecare.co.uk/ ’’

Very happy with the service. Very flexible and great communication. Nothing ever seems to be a problem and they are happy to do anything to help mum. Given I live 200 miles away it is very reassuring.
Vivien S (Client's daughter)
Home Instead stepped in at very short notice when Dad was to be discharged from hospital after a 12 week stay and the local services could not even provide a satisfactory crisis care package. Contacting them was the best decision we ever made.
The management staff and care team have contributed to Dad's wellbeing, enabling him to return to his own home to live, encouraging him in day to day living and helping him to regain his confidence.
The team help with all aspects from hospital appointments to changing lightbulbs. Their excellent communication between all parties concerned in Dad's care and ourselves has built a good relationship and given us peace of mind, essential when we live a distance away.
We, as a family, would have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead to others. They do a fantastic job and we would be lost without them.
"I was more than happy to speak with the CQC about the care you've all provided to my Mum throughout this year. It was the best thing we did moving the care to Home Instead. Wish we'd done it sooner." - Ms B
Sue , Clients daughter
As a family coping with Mums vascular dementia was becoming increasingly difficult. Dad had managed very well but at 88 the strain was becoming too much. My Sister and I had broached the subject of carers with both Mum and Dad always with the same response. They didn't want strangers in their home and they didn't need any help. We found Home Instead and arranged a home visit. Mum was included in everything and both Mum and Dads specific requirements were discussed. CAREGivers were matched to Mum and once she got used to the idea everything has gone very well. We are safe in the knowledge she is up and dressed and had a nice chat and breakfast made every morning. Dad can nip out knowing Mum is safe and with someone they both trust. We have peace of mind that if there are any problems we are informed immediately and know Mum is in safe hands. Mum is a new person,we can't cure her but I believe Home Insteads care and support has made both Mum and Dads life much happier.

I just wanted to now take the time to give you some positive feedback regarding my Mum’s new (since Dec 2014) home care provider Home Instead. Michelle Thompson and her team in Blackpool have been outstanding since we first made contact with them and had our initial meeting to today when Michelle supported us in a meeting with Social Services and the Local Mental Health Team.
They have delivered on everything they promised in such a way that my mum now sees them as “family” and not like strangers which was something she experienced with the previous care company. Michelle and her team have my Mum’s interests at the forefront of everything they do and I’m sure that this will be the same with all their clients.
As I said I just wanted to take the time to give this feedback and if you would like any further information or detail please let me know. (the feedback portal on the website wasn’t working hence the email)
Skills for care
Michelle in her role with Homeinstead has supported the delivery of a number of workshops delivered by Skills for Care, in particular around recruitment, retention and the positive role and influence of care ambassadors. Michelle has also recently supported me with the delivery of a workshop for Job Centre Plus in Blackpool. The feedback from these workshops has been positive and the input from Michelle (Homeinstead) has been extremely valuable.
My carer is always on time. Excellent at her job and is always cheerful and does a great job. I am very lucky.
I have been using Home Instead for one hour care in the morning, for six months. My condition, which is severe arthritis in my shoulders, neck and arms, makes getting showered and dressed difficult as I can't pull anything over my head. Since having Home Instead to help me, I have had great improvement for the rest of the day. The CAREGivers I have are very good, and I like having continuity of CAREGivers, which for me is essential. I have formed a friendship with the two girls. I have full marks for everything your firm has done for me. Thank you.
Jack Kay (client)
The standard of service and attention provided by the staff could not be bettered, every carer who came did all that was required of them and more besides, nothing was too much trouble. It is a well organised and efficient organisation and I would recommend Home Instead without hesitation to any person who is contemplating care and any form of home help.
Overall Standard: Excellent
Care / Support: Excellent
Treated with Dignity: Excellent
Value for Money: Excellent

Tara and the Home Instead team have been supporting both myself and my Husband who has dementia for some months now and I couldn't have done it without them. They have been here every step of the way, now his needes have changed they have organised support with the social worker along with finding him local community groups and day centres to attend giving me the chance for a break
Home Instead Blackpool and Wyre really understand the importance of the same CAREGiver building a relationship with not only the client, but the family.
Linda (Assisted Living Manager)

Mrs H Mathers
Thank you for coming into our lives Tara and Michelle, you have spent the time getting to know not only my husband who has dementia but myself and what is important to us. You found us a superb caregiver who understands us and has already made a great deal of difference to our lives. You bigger picture not just the task base but the emotional side of caring for someone .

When Tara first came in to tell me about Home Instead I thought "what a brilliant service ", people who are there for the right reasons and there to make a difference in some ones life . After meeting Tara I decided that I would like to be a CAREGiver with Home Instead

Its a great idea what Home Instead Blackpool are doing. A real change from the usual care. They understand the need to engage people in the community again and combat the isolation that affects so many
