Being a CAREGiver
We are currently searching for caring part-time CAREgivers in Huntingdon, St Neots, Ely and surrounding areas. We provide home care services such as home help, companionship and personal care, to help adults remain as independant as possible and help them stay in the comfort of their own homes for as long as possible.
Our staff are caring and dedicated. We offer the kind of personalised care that you would want for your own family. This is a very rewarding position as you will be matched to a select few people based on your interests and you will spend a minimum of an hour with each client.
We urgently need CAREgivers who can work up to 20 hours a week for an immediate start. An enhanced CRB/DBS check will be required as will a full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle.
No experience is required as full training will be given. There will also be the opportunity to gain a QCF/NVQ in Health and Social Care and a City & Guilds qualification in Alzheimer's and other Dementia's.
Since 1st April 2015 all new CareGivers are expected to gain the Care Certificate. This is the start of the career journey for new care staff and covers both knowledge and competence outcomes.
The Care Certificate does not replace the employer induction specific to the care environment, but has replaced the National Minimum Training Standards (NMTS) and the Common Induction Standards (CIS).
Here at Home Instead Huntingdon we have already have the training in place for the Care Certificate, and all new care staff are in the process of completing this
We spoke to our Team of Caregivers who work for us at Home Instead Huntingdon and asked them about what they enjoy the most about working for us and here are some of the responses we have received:
