CQC name our Guildford and Woking office as Outstanding

Our Guildford office has been named as one of the country’s top home care providers, having achieved an ‘outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC), England’s independent regulator of adult social care.

Home Instead holds more Outstanding ratings than any other home care company, with a tally now numbering twenty one. When you consider that only two per cent of adult social care providers have managed to achieve this most coveted rating, it’s a huge achievement.

The office is owned and run by husband and wife team, Chris and Sarah Daly. In the inspection report there were many examples of their team’s willingness to ‘go the extra mile’. Inspectors said that ‘Caregivers frequently gave up their own time to spend time with people, particularly if they lived alone or had little family contact.’

An example was cited in the report of a group of caregivers and staff visiting a client who lived alone on their birthday to celebrate with then, bringing presents and a cake. The inspectors also mentioned that caregivers would often visit clients if they were unwell or in hospital.

Speaking about this latest inspection report, managing director of Home Instead, Martin Jones said, “Going the extra mile is in our company DNA and it was a pleasure to read so many heartwarming stories in this report.

“Well done to Sarah, Chris and their fantastic team – they are clearly making a difference to people’s lives.”
