As demand for care of the elderly increases, a business specialising in caring for the elderly in their own homes has opened an office in Wigan and is set to create 50 jobs in the area.

Owner, Phil Eckersley is behind the new Wigan based office and will be providing care across Shevington, Standish, Orrell, Billinge, Pemberton, Ashton in Makerfield, Golborne, Abram, Ince, Hindley and Aspull.

Home Instead Senior Care is internationally renowned for the quality of service they provide, offering each individual client care that is tailored to their needs.  Home Instead’s main focus is to enable people to remain in their homes for as long as possible, allowing them to retain their independence by providing home help, companionship or personal care.

Commenting, Phil said “We are all very aware of the issues surrounding quality care services for the elderly and I have experienced difficulty myself in finding quality care for my own family members.  The Home Instead Senior Care service really stands out, we are different and we are striving to make a difference in the community.  I am very much looking forward to bringing this fantastic service to the older people of Wigan.

“I am keen to talk to local people with compassionate and caring natures who are interested in working with elderly people. Candidates don’t need to have experience in the care sector as they will receive excellent training, however they may well have experience looking after a relative or friend.”

Home Instead services are tailored to the needs of individual clients and ranges from personal care to companionship, meal preparation, housekeeping, post-discharge care, medication reminders, shopping and errands. The service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
