We were using Home Instead once a week for companionship. Unfortunately an emergency arose when my mother suffered a sudden and serious illness. We telephoned Home Instead who immediately responded and help soon arrived. The carer stayed all day and did all she could to make her as comfortable as possible. Finally at 11.00 pm my mother was admitted to hospital, but the carer continued to stay to clean and launder everything before leaving. After a two week hospital stay we were then able to arrange with Home Instead twenty four hour care until my mother was back on her feet and able to cope. We are so grateful to Home Instead for responding so quickly and for giving our 94 year old mother gentle and sympathetic care when it was so desperately needed. - Mr S – Hatch End
