Home Instead Watford owner Peter Neighbour, recently took part in the Thames Bridges charity bike ride to raise funds for the Stroke Association. The ride was on Sunday 12 May in London and started in Southwark Park near Tower Bridge and went over 16 of London’s bridges before finishing at Hampton Court.
It was a real family occasion as Peter was joined on the ride by his son Robert and partner Alexis. Between them they raised £270 for the Stroke Association.
Peter said ”The Stoke Association is a great charity ,which does brilliant work in the community to give stroke victims the best possible support to enable them live life to the full. We are all really pleased that we have been able to support them in some small way.”
Peter and Robert are veteran charity riders, but Alexis is a new convert. They all have the bug now and are planning their next trips. Peter is riding the Nightrider 100k ride round London on 8 June to raise funds for Watford Community Sports and Education Trust and the Peace Hospice. Hopefully their next big family event is London to Paris in the autumn.
