Our CAREGivers... well, just a few of them!

Our CAREGivers... well, just a few of them!

These are just a few of the CAREGivers from the Warwickshire Team. They all share our passion to deliver the highest quality care to the people who call upon us for the services we provide.

They are carefully selected for their caring and compassionate nature, together with their desire to improve the quality of life for all of our clients.

As far as possible, we always make sure that the CAREGiver remains consistent so that a trust and friendship may develop.

It is also important to us that our CAREGivers are allowed the time to travel in order that they can arrive on time and are never under pressure or in a rush to leave.

Now that you have found Home Instead, there is no need to look any further because we are absolutely confident that you will be delighted with the quality of service you receive.

Lucy Jackson - Care Manager

Lucy Jackson - Care Manager

Hi, I'm Lucy Jackson and I joined the team for one simple reason, I really enjoy caring for people and I really admire the Home Instead ethos.

I started my first job in care working part-time whilst I was still at college and I have never looked back. I now head up the team of CAREGivers and staff who work for us at Home Instead.

Before joining Home Instead I worked as a Home Care Supervisor for Warwickshire County Council and prior to that I worked as a carer for a home care company.

I'm a local girl and I studied for my GCSE's and 'A' levels at Aylesford School and Sixth Form and then did my GNVQ (Health and Social Advanced Course) at Warwickshire College where I also did a Cabin Crew course! The Cabin Crew idea was fun, but I eventually decided it wasn't for me.

My role provides the perfect opportunity to build long-term relationships with both the team of CAREGivers who work for us and also every client who uses our services. It is my Nan and Grandad inspire me to do my job to the best of my ability. I see them regularly and take them to bingo on Friday evenings, which is great fun - my Nan has dementia and my Grandad is disabled, so I understand the issues facing families and their loved ones.

If there is anything we can do to help you or a family member, all you have to do is call or alternatively, drop in to see us.

Jo Chambers - Staff Recruitment and Retention Coordinator

Jo Chambers - Staff Recruitment and Retention Coordinator

Hi, I’m Jo Chambers and my role as part of the office team is Staff Recruitment and Retention Coordinator.

My background is in community mental health nursing where I worked for a team enabling individuals to remain in their home environment, so I know the value of care that supports people to enjoy their independence and maintain their interests and social networks in the familiar surroundings of their own home.

I love working in care because I know that we make a real difference to the lives of those we support and the job satisfaction from that is immense.  If you are a compassionate person looking for a fulfilling role, or you know someone else who fits the bill then I would love to hear from you.

I’m always excited at the opportunity to find new CAREGivers who share our passion to provide the very best care with a personal touch.

Having started as a CAREGiver for Home Instead, I know first-hand what an excellent company we are to work for.

We are a growing business aiming to recruit 60 new CAREGivers over the year ahead and in the current climate that’s got to be good news.  Finding the right kind of people is the most important aspect of this as our CAREGivers are our most important resource. We already have an amazing team and are looking forward to seeing that team continue to grow.

Sarah Angus - Community Services Coordinator

Sarah Angus - Community Services Coordinator

Hello, my name is Sarah and I joined the Home Instead Team in September 2011 when Chloe, my youngest, had just started school. I was looking for a career that would enable me to have time at home with the family as well as working, and Home Instead allows me to do that. I live in a lovely rural village located about five miles from Stratford upon Avon with my husband John and two children, Josh and Chloe.

Although my background is Human Resources, I feel that it does tie in with Home Instead by assisting people with their needs be it at work or at home. I felt it was important to understand what Home Instead was trying to achieve so started working with them by providing Home Help and Companionship to clients in the area local to where I live.

In the time that I have been working for Home Instead I have gained a personal insight into how providing care for people in their own homes with their memories and belongings around them is very rewarding.

I now spend a lot of my time out working in the community and supporting the office team by visiting all sorts of interesting people, which I absolutely love!

Judy Brown - Senior CAREGiver

Judy Brown - Senior CAREGiver

Hi, I’m Judy and I am the Senior CAREGiver – this involves me making sure all our clients continue to be delighted with the service they receive.

Before joining Home Instead, I worked for a care team who looked after people with dementia. My qualifications include a Level 2 Certificate in Dementia Awareness and a Level 2 Certificate in Health and Social Care.

The reason I love to work for Home Instead is because once you get to know your clients, it’s like being paid to visit your friends! To be able to assist them in daily tasks such as housework, cooking, personal care and even shopping is very rewarding indeed.

I started in care work after I met my husband, who introduced me to care as I was assisting in the care of my father who’d had a stroke. I was looking for a change in career and as my husband was already working in the care sector, he saw how I was looking after my father and suggested that I took up caring as my new career. I did just that and have never looked back!

Working at Home Instead has been great, because we encourage regular training and almost as soon as I joined, they enrolled me for the Level 3 Health and Social Care training. I am delighted that I have been given the chance to move forward with my career and I really enjoy being one of the office team, alongside caring for clients.

Clare Maundrill - Office Administrative Support

Clare Maundrill - Office Administrative Support

Hello, I’m Clare and I my role is to help the office team by providing administrative support and to keep all of our records and documentation in good order. You might even be fortunate enough to have me answer the phone if you call!

I’m married to Phil and we work together as a team in order to make sure that our staff are well cared for and also to ensure that the office runs smoothly. We have been married for fifteen years and have two children, Zoe aged 12 and Robert aged 9. We live in a village just outside of Stratford upon Avon which makes it very handy for us to travel to our offices at Hatton Rock. Our offices are in an old converted farm building with beautiful oak beams and it is a lovely place to work.

We always encourage our clients and their families to visit us in order that we can listen to what kind of support and care they seek. The office team are always welcoming and the kettle is generally on, so please feel free to pay us a visit at any time to talk about how we might be able to help you.

Philip Maundrill and Philip Wright-Howarth

Philip Maundrill and Philip Wright-Howarth

Hello, we are Philip Maundrill and Philip Wright-Howarth and we are the management team of Home Instead Senior Care Warwickshire. Together with our respective families, we have known each other for more than twenty five years, which will prove that we are able to be completely aligned in our vision of changing the face of ageing in the local communities where we live.

We both have individual and personal experience of the difficulties people face when seeking quality care for a family member. As a result of this we are very proud of what we bring to Stratford upon Avon, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Kenilworth and the surrounding districts in Home Instead Senior Care. We have actually had people tell us that we are unique in what we do.

We are totally committed to quality and believe this can only be achieved by having the right systems in place, together with a team of appropriately trained people who share our values and aims of enriching the lives of our clients.

Our role is to work very closely with Lucy (our Care Manager) to ensure we consistently deliver an excellent service to our clients. Please do take a look at the page marked “What people say about us” to see what a difference we have already made.
