Melissa Critchley - Director

I have worked for much of my career in Age Concern/Age UK, initially as the Chief Officer in Halton and then managing service in two other Age UK organisations in the North West. I have always been passionate about championing the case to improve older people’s lives and so when the opportunity arose to become involved with the Warrington local office, I jumped at the chance; working as part of a team to provide top quality care that respects and works with older people is my dream come true. I also enjoy swimming and motorcyle touring.

John Barnsby – Director of Operations

Hello I’m John and for the past thirty years I have worked with Blue Chip FMCG/Holiday companies in a Sales/Marketing/Operations capacity.

For several years I have felt the need for a change in direction, work for myself and be able to give something back to the local community and share my experiences with like minded people - one whereby I would be able to make a real difference. This opportunity had proven somewhat difficult until I came upon HISC, whereby I was given the opportunity to purchase the Warrington area. It is refreshing to work with a company with integrity and one that actually delivers what it promises.

I have lived in the Warrington area for twelve years after moving from South Wales, have one son and three daughters, plus six grandchildren who I love to spend time with. Hobbies include forest/hill walking, gardening and racquetball.

Care Supervisor - Glen Rimmer

Care Supervisor - Glen Rimmer

Hi! My name is Glen, I have had many years experience in the administration field, working in the Transport and Chemical industry and more recently for a local charity supporting carers.

“Having felt the need for a change of direction, I moved from Chemicals to Carers! During my time supporting Carers, I knew about the services Home Instead offered and I understand the difficulties people encounter living alone in their own homes; the feeling of isolation and loneliness. I am proud to be part of an organisation that can make real difference to a person’s life”.

I am enjoying the diversity of this role and the fact that no two days are ever the same.

Jenni Kirkham - Care Manager

My name is Jenni and I am the Care Manager for Home Instead Senior Care - Warrington. I have been with Home Instead since 2006 when I initially worked as a CareGiver in the community providing hands-on care to the clients. I soon progressed into the office and completed my NVQ4 (RMA) in Care and Care Management.

I really believe in the values of Home Instead and am dedicated to providing care of the highest standard. I support our team to facilitate long term and therefore consistant care packages for our clients: enabling our clients to live their lives in the way that they choose, supported by trained, fully-checked CareGivers.
