I am Symone Salwan, the owner and director of the Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks & Edenbridge office.

Starting my own home support business and being a provider of care for the elderly always seemed like a dream that maybe I would achieve later on in life. With my busy career in management consultancy and business start-ups, realising that dream was almost impossible. The untimely death of my Grandmother changed everything for me and I knew I had to do something to prevent anyone else going through the same experience.

With the support of my partner, Graham, I gained the courage to change my life completely and move into homecare support, the field I was truly passionate about. Home Instead Senior Care was the vehicle that fitted completely with my ambition and ethos; Quality care providers offering the best home care support services by far.

Through my family I have dealt with so many issues with care and finding our way through the maze of health and social services. I learned more about the wider issues facing elderly people within the healthcare system from voluntary work as Treasurer for the League of Friends of Edenbridge Hospital; a role which I was proud to fulfil for two years.

I moved to Edenbridge nearly five years ago with Graham and we were welcomed into this friendly community that we now feel so much a part of. Since then, we have had two daughters, Kishi, who is 18 months old and Kaya born at the beginning of this year.

I am so delighted to be doing something I love and am dedicated to providing the highest quality of care so that my team and I can make a real difference to the lives of older people living in the area.
