The newly opened Home Instead Stourbridge and Halesowen office opened its doors for coffee and cake to celebrate with friends and neighbours. Owner Lorna Bath commented “It was a lovely opportunity to thank some of my friends and neighbours who have supported me in the start-up stages of my business. They all know how strongly I feel about delivering the best quality care to the elderly in our community, and it’s great to show them around our office base." Although Lorna’s daughters could not attend the event, as they had a prior commitment to attend school! their involvement was enjoyed by all who ate the delicious fairy cakes they had made, complete with purple sparkly glitter to match the Home Instead banners. Visitors’ ages ranged from 11 months to 87 years. Nicola Kirkham, Care Manager, highlighted the personal side of the business with 4 generations of her family offering their support and good wishes. Lorna added, “We are both very excited that we have now started to make a real and significant difference to the care experienced by clients and their families. We are totally committed to providing the best possible care that is based upon the wants and needs of our clients, delivered by our very special team of handpicked CAREGivers.
