Owner of at-home care company Home Instead in South Lincolnshire, Jeannette McEwan transformed her kitchen into a Mince Pie factory on Sunday. With a little help from her family and colleagues, Jeanette baked and delivered homemade mince pies to each and every one of her 450 plus clients.
Mince pie making has been an annual event in the McEwan household since Jeannette started Home Instead Senior Care in September 2009. As her company provides at-home care for older people living across the area, Jeanette decided it would be nice to visit each client with an extra special treat to bring a smile during the festive period.
Jeannette commented: “Christmas is obviously a very special time of year and ever since we started providing care and support to people in our local community, we have baked and delivered mince pies to all of our clients at Christmas time. To see their faces when they receive our unexpected little gift makes all the hard-work worthwhile, and it is these personal touches which I believe really set our company apart. However much we grow as a company, we will always go that extra mile for our clients, as they are central to everything we do and deserve to feel loved and cared for – especially at this time of year!”
Members of the office team including Jeannette & Tom McEwan, Becki Smith and Lynne Murch, distributed the festive treats to their clients in Spalding, Kings Lynn, Wisbech and the surrounding areas.
