Our 2014 'Be a Santa to a Senior' campaign proved to be a real success thanks to the generousity of local people in and around Oldham & Saddleworth.

Together, Home Instead and Millercare collected over 230 presents which were distributed to older, isolated people in the local area the week before Christmas.

Mick Sheehan, managing director of Home Instead said "this year Home Instead teamed up with local mobility specialists, Millercare in a bit to improve on the 2013 campaign. With the support of Tesco Extra on Huddersfield Road and lots of very generous members of the public we were able to touch the lives of some local people who may not have received a gift at Christmas".

Mick added "people from the local community were identified with the help of organisations such as Age UK, Keyring, Dr. Kershaw's, Oldham library delivery service, local chemists etc. It was with their help that we managed to get presents to those in need".

Home Instead and Millercare would like to say a big thank you to all who supported the campaign. Roll on December so we can do it all again!
