Due to success of our first Family Dementia Workshop last month, we have now put on a second date for Wednesday July 31st. We have at least two further workshops planned for September (dates and venues to follow) as part of our on going commitment to raising awareness and standards for all who are affected by Alzheimer’s and other Dementia’s.
Feedback from the previous workshop included:
“Excellent would benefit more front line facing professionals to help identify people with early signs”
“Very well presented in a nice relaxed manor”
“Friendly, interesting, easy to listen to, not intimidating”
“The workshop has raised my awareness about the symptoms of dementia”
“Excellent workshop needs to be rolled out across the borough”
“Was an excellent all round workshop”
“Practical suggestions for carer and cared for”
Just as a reminder; the Family Dementia Workshop is free and is open to anyone who supports a loved one with any form of Dementia. It is also open to health and social care professionals or volunteers from any organisation. Space permitting we also welcome professionals working with the general public who may benefit from increased awareness of Dementia or members of the public at large who have a general interest in helping others.
If you’d like to book your place please contact us on 01457 874566 or call in to our High Street office which is on the first floor, above the Spar shop in Uppermill. If you think this could be of interest to anyone else, please feel free to pass the information on.
