Our workshops are a useful tool for friends and families who have a loved one with dementia and also for people who are likely to come into contact with someone who has dementia, for example shopkeepers, Doctor’s receptionists, health professionals, police officers and community group organisers. The workshops are designed to help people better understand the disease and offer information on different aspects of managing, supporting and engaging the person they care for.
As our ageing population continues to increase we will see more and more people we know and love being affected by dementia, so it’s important that as a community we are prepared to help, better deal with and understand the disease.
