Maria Collins - Owner

Maria Collins - Owner

I live in Flitwick with my husband. I have two daughters and two grandsons with another grand-child on the way. With a dedicated background in health services, I have a wealth of experience gained in all types of health care, including hospitals, community and public health services.    As I have always been passionate about providing the highest level of care - both professionally and personally whilst caring for both of my parents, I jumped at the chance to open this business and have not looked back since.

Outside of my work life, I enjoy entertaining with family and friends, trips to the theatre and taking holidays, especially those that offer opportunities for sightseeing and family time, although I have not managed to get away for quite some time so when I do it will be particularly special.

I am also a keen cook and enjoy trying out new recipes - my signature dish being Waffle Berry Pudding.

At-home care company, Home Instead Senior Care in Luton is delighted to announce the appointment of business operations manager, Lorraine Massey.

Lorraine comments, “I was really excited about the opportunity to become care manager for Maria. Home Instead is so dedicated to providing a personal and high-quality service to older people, and I wanted to help them with this mission and give something back. I myself have an 82 year old father and my siblings and I are lucky enough to be able to look after him ourselves. However, if for some reason he became unable to manage living alone, I would not hesitate to recommend Home Instead. I think that is when you know you are working for the right company, when you would recommend them to your own family!”

Having suffered from Breast Cancer herself, which is now thankfully in remission, Lorraine is an active member of the Breakthrough Breast Cancer Genetics Advisory Panel. She also writes various columns for women who have suffered from Breast Cancer to offer advice and support throughout their fight with the disease. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her son and has a busy and fulfilling social life.

Our CAREGivers

Our CAREGivers

Our CAREGivers are very dedicated to their job and provide best practice and quality care at all times. Our CAREGivers go above and beyond to provide support to their clients. For example two of our CAREGivers made a snowman for one of our clients who had been unwell to cheer them up.

Some of our CAREGivers take their clients to singing cafes, movie matinees, church and garden centres and anywhere else that they wish to go.
