
Double dose of charity for Jenny
Community service coordinator Jenny Wardle from Home Instead Senior Care in Leicester is currently in training for the third and fourth of her five sponsored charity events this year. On 18th September Jenny will take part in a 12 mile Walk on the Wild Side fundraiser for LOROS before beginning the Memory Walk for Alzheimer’s later that afternoon atAbbeyPark.
Take a Walk on the Wild Side is an event which has been organised by the LOROS, a local hospice catering for those in the Leicestershire and Rutlandarea. The annual sponsored Countryside Walk will take place in Charnwood and BradgateParkand will begin at 9.30amon September 18th. Jenny will be wearing badge number 1546 if you would like to go down and cheer her on!
Once Jenny has just had chance to catch her breath, she will be entering another charity event later the very same day: the Memory Walk in aid of Alzheimer’s Society. This will begin at Abbey Park is a two and a half mile walk to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society and also raise awareness of this worthy cause that is close to Jenny’s heart.
