Organising a local care service brings a great deal of challenges and job satisfaction. Whether it be tailoring a care plan to an individual or finding the highest quality Caregivers, there is always room for some blue sky thinking!
Mick Sheehan of Home Instead Saddleworth has decided to go far beyond the call of duty! 50 miles beyond to be precise! In order to raise money for charity, Mick is running the Lakeland 50 mile race in 2012.
In order to complete this mind boggling distance, Mick is putting in some serious mileage on his local roads and trails around Saddleworth, Oldham and Tameside.
James Little (Home Instead Kirklees) has a shared passion for running and is under strict instructions to wear a minimum of one piece of high visibility clothing whilst running with his club; Holmfirth Harriers AC. When Mick broke the news of his ultra-marathon, James decided to send over some personalised, high visibility Home Instead t-shirts to make sure Mick was visible to drivers between the dark hours of dawn and dusk!
Home Instead Senior Care provides home help, companionship and personal care services to their elderly clients in Oldham, Saddleworth, Kirklees and across the country, helping to maintain independence and wellness in order to change the face of aging.
Best of luck to Mick, what a painful way to raise money for charity!
