A local company which provides care for the elderly in their own homes is the latest business to sign up to Saint Michael’s Hospice Business 500 Club, a fundraising initiative which aims to raise enough funds to help the hospice double the number of people it cares for by 2012.
Andrew and Sheena Van Parys, who run the Harrogate office of national award winning home care company, Home Instead Senior Care, want to give something back to the local community, and in particular the hospice, which they believe provides a fantastic service.
Andrew explains:“The hospice provides people with choices and a high quality service. These are things that we think are of great importance and they are also central aspects of the service that we at Home Instead provide. Our service aims to offer elderly people the option to remain independent for as long as possible by giving them practical assistance and care in their own homes.”
As a member of the Business 500 club, Home Instead will be involved in a range of fundraising initiatives alongside other member businesses.
Home Instead are rapidly building a reputation as one of the UK’s leading care companies. Their service is tailored to the needs of individual clients and ranges from companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, post-discharge care, personal care, medication reminders, shopping and errands. The service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
