What better way to celebrate Easter and bring in your 88th birthday than to have a traditional English fry up!
Daphney Collarbone, a resident of Mead House in Walton, enjoyed ‘the full works’ at the Easter English breakfast held in the communal section of this assisted living complex. Working hard in the background were some great volunteers and staff from Home Instead Senior Care in Frinton, who sponsored the event. The lounge and dining room was full of cheerful chatter and everyone thoroughly enjoyed this communal event which combined good food with good company.
With the support of their enthusiastic and motivated Scheme Manager, Joanne Martin, residents regularly get together for such events and there is no doubt that food is the way to a senior’s heart!
Jean Allen from Home Instead Senior Care said, “Everyone had a wonderful time and we really enjoyed meeting everyone and helping to make and serve a delicious breakfast. Daphney thought it was a really good way to celebrate her birthday and one we might have to repeat next year!”
