On Friday 23rd August, Home Instead Senior Care Farnborough, Farnham & Fleet ran a free Dementia Awareness Workshop for family members supporting loved ones with dementia, and for those working in the community to support those with dementia.
The Workshop was in association with Rushmoor Health and Well-being and supported by Rushmoor Borough Council. Thanks to Annie Denton from Rushmoor Health and Well-being, for all her help in arranging such an excellent venue.
Bill Percy at Home Instead Farnborough who hosts the Workshops said “It’s a great opportunity for anyone to share their experiences if they like to, or just to listen or ask questions. It’s also useful for everyone to hear those working in the community share useful information with other attendees.”
Bill added, “Anyone attending the free workshops benefits from our experience of running specialist dementia training for our CAREGivers. The training Home Instead gives its CAREGivers is fully certified by City & Guilds, and is unique in the UK.”
