Thank you to everyone who gave so generously to our Senior Santa initiative in the run up to Christmas. We received dozens and dozens of gifts which really did make a difference to less well-off local elderly people.
In the days before Christmas we distributed the gifts, mainly to day centres, many of whom were having their Christmas parties. Organisers at several commented that finances were tight this year, and that it was likely that the gifts being donated would quite conceivably be the only gift several older people would receive.
Whilst it was humbling to hear these comments, the thanks really belong to everyone who gave so generously.
We will be running Senior Santa again next Christmas, so watch this space …
