Telford and Wrekin Senior Citizens Forum Based in Lightmoor, Telford, Shropshire, the Telford and Wrekin Senior Citizens Forum provide a valuable service for older citizens in all parts of the Telford and Wrekin Borough, including Newport, Shropshire. The Forum, made up of over 1800 members, organises regular meetings to discuss issues, including care at home, that are of current concern to older people in the Telford and Newport area, and decide on appropriate follow up action. As a collective voice, the Telford and Newport Forum inform government departments, the local Telford and Wrekin council, the Shropshire Primary Care Trust, Telford and Wrekin social services and other organisations in the Telford and Newport area of the needs of older people living independently in Telford and Newport. Home Instead Senior Care regularly attends the Telford and Newport Meetings and fully support the work that is done. Highlighting the many issues that are important to older people, including the provision of homecare in the home, for those living in the Telford and Newport is crucial.
