Home Instead Senior Care, East Shropshire, servicing Telford, Newport, Albrighton, Shifnal, Bridgnorth, Much Wenlock, Gnosall and surrounding areas recently hosted a Coffee Morning to raise funds and awareness of the Carers Appeal – an appeal launched by the Shropshire Rural Community Council which offers support, advice and help for carers in the Shropshire area.
Co-owner Jenny Ballantine commented, ‘It was a great morning attended by some of our lovely clients and CAREGivers. Not only did we raise some valuable funds for this worthwhile cause we also helped raise awareness. Many people are unaware of the care services available and often at times of crisis don’t know where to turn. Here at Home Instead Senior Care we work hard at developing relationships with key organizations in the community so that we can signpost clients and the general public to people than offer complimentary services to ours.’
Home Instead Senior care can offer respite and support services for family carers, from as little as an hour at a time to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Support can be organized on an ad hoc basis working with the carer to give them the break they need when they need it.
