The Crewe office of Home Instead Senior Care opened its doors on 12th February 2007 and is owned and operated by my husband Russell and I.
I joined the National Office of Home Instead in April 2006 and was instrumental in setting up some of the systems and processes that were later passed on to new Franchisees. Throughout this time I could see the tremendous difference that our services was making to our Clients in Chester.
At about the same time my step-father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and Russell’s Grandmother was diagnosed with Dementia. Having looked around at the types of services available for our own relatives it was then we both realised what a unique service Home Instead offered. Shortly afterwards we made the decision to open a Home Instead office closer to home in order to help members of our local community.
Since then we have grown from a 2 person office in the centre of Crewe to a modern office in Worleston near Nantwich. We moved in October 2008 and the larger office space gives us the capacity to train our ever-growing number of Caregivers. We even have a couple of four-legged office greeters.
Our services are currently provided through a network of 60 dedicated Caregivers and 6 office staff. Our roles are to provide a professional service to our clients enabling them to remain independent in their own homes for as long as they wish to.
We pride ourselves on the excellent quality that we offer to our clients are were thrilled when our first CSCI inspection reflected our efforts and we received a two star rating, the highest grade available to a newly recognised company. In May 2008 we were also the regional winners of the NHS Dignity in Care Award.
We are also proud of the fact that we are there to support the families of our clients as much as the client’s themselves and we work closely with other local organisations such as the Alzheimer’s Society and Cheshire Carer’s Centre to ensure that we have the most up to date information to pass on.
