This Christmas the Home Instead team really got into the Christmas spirit and raised money for charity.

On national Christmas jumper day CAREGivers and staff in the office dug out their best Christmas sweaters, and for every jumper worn we’re donating £1.00 to the Home Instead Bring Joy Foundation.

The fundraising doesn’t stop there however.  This year, instead of sending Christmas cards we are adding to our donation to the Bring Joy Foundation and in the New Year we have further fundraising plans, aiming to reach our target of £500.00 by Easter!

The Bring Joy Foundation was launched by Home Instead founder Sam Brocklebank in 2014. The charity’s vision is to assist community groups, care groups and organisation in bringing some sparkle to their seniors; bringing some joy back into ageing. Funding is made available for things like trips to the seaside, going to a vintage tea dance or having some golf lessons. As Sam Brocklebank says “It’s never too late to learn something new or revisit a favourite former pastime or hobby. Our charity exists to assist with the little things that can make a big difference to older people’s lives”.

As well as our fundraising activities, CAREGivers donned Christmas hats and outfits throughout the Christmas period to bring a little joy locally to our clients throughout Gloucestershire. Our top prize went to Amanda Webber for her wonderful elf outfit which was perfect for helping with presents in the office!
