Mike jointly owns the business with his wife, Jane.  They have run another successful business for 12 years and developed a reputation for integrity and meeting client’s expectations.

Mike’s role in Home Instead is to ensure all the staff enjoy an environment in which they can deliver the high care standards we set.  Mike is also responsible for liaising with the outside world to create an awareness of what we do.

Karen is the first point of face to face contact many of our clients have with Home Intsead. Karen's role is to create bespoke care plans for each of our clients, based on what they tell us they want. Karen takes time to understand each individual and their own circumstances, only then recommending a service that suits them on their terms.


Karen managed the Cambridge branch of BNA, so is used to working in a quality environment to suit clients.

Scheduler - Becky Elliott

Becky is the Care Staff Scheduler, responsible for matching the company’s clients and Caregivers and providing a continuity of high quality care.  Becky joined from another care company and has several years experience in the role.

Home Instead Cambridge provides tailored care and companionship to people in their own homes, enabling them to live independent lives.  Clients are offered care that they want, at a time they specify and matched, appropriate Caregivers visit consistently.

“That’s the beauty of my job” explains Becky.  “Much of the care I’ve arranged before revolved around doing tasks for people and then moving to the next person.  That’s not what the people we visit want, nor our Caregivers.”

Home Instead’s approach to helping independence hinges on consistency and familiarity.  And Becky has noticed the difference.  “Home Instead Caregivers really do know their clients.  Visiting the same people and caring for someone who has a common interest really makes a difference.”

Elaine was born and raised in Cambridge and knows the city, its people and has a real feel for the area.  Elaine supports Lisa & Julie to ensure our clients are kept up-to-date, our service standards are constantly monitored and that bills & payments are accrate & on time.

As a former Chairperson of her village Pre-School, she knows the importance of local services and how Home Instead makes a diifference by holding to its standards of high quality care, backed up by fist class administration.
