Thanet South member of parliament Stephen Ladyman has congratulated Broadstairs-based Home Instead Senior Care, who recently gained top marks from the government’s social care watchdog, the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Home Instead Senior Care, based in the east Kent seaside town and operating throughout Thanet, achieved the coveted 2-star accolade during its recent CQC assessment. This is the highest rating that newly-registered care services can achieve at their first inspection - subsequently they can aim for three stars, CQC’s top rating.
‘The Commission plays a vital role in maintaining standards in the country’s social care services,’ said Stephen Ladyman MP. ‘Their report demonstrates that Home Instead is fully committed to supporting people who want to remain independent and in their own homes. They are enriching people’s lives and I really do commend them,’ he added.
Home Instead Senior Care Broadstairs provides a range of at-home care services for the elderly, convalescing and their families. These include daily visits, meal preparation, medication reminders, housekeeping, accompanied shopping plus specialist assistance with Dementia and Alzheimer’s care, respite provision and hospital discharge assistance.
‘There are more than 5,000 home care organisations in the country and we are up there with the very best. This will be a great reassurance to all those people who choose us to provide their at-home support,’ said Home Instead director Kevan Barr.
