Mum has not had good experiences in the past with Care Agencies, and is quite nervous and unsettled when a new person visits the house. I am delighted to say that the carers from Home Instead have all struck up a very good rapport with Mum and have clearly gained her trust and she truly looks forward to them visiting. The fact that the carers treat Mum as a person and are spending time talking to her normally and encouraging her to look through photographs etc has, I am sure contributed to this, and I have noticed a distinct improvement in her general demeanour she is a lot happier in herself. Initially I needed Home Instead to cover a short term resource problem, but I am now using Homeinstead for support long term for Mum as I have been so pleased with the service. - David - Sheffield
