Class 2: Capturing Life's Journey

#1/ 5

What Capturing Memories Means

People with dementia often experience problems with memory and thinking. Because they often cannot store new information efficiently, they use past experiences to make sense of the present. By learning about and knowing your loved one's life journey—his/her stories, likes, dislikes, and memories—you can create a unique "person centred" approach that will help you to give better care and have higher success in providing comfort, effectively managing their behaviours and improving their quality of life.
