Setting up my own business has been part of a truly life changing period of my life. In 2010 I received the devastating news that I had secondary cancer. Since then life has been a whirlwind of treatment (all successful thank goodness) and making major changes to ensure that I live the life I want to in the future.   It may sound strange but the experience I have been through has genuinely changed my life for the better. The people that I have met in the care sector have been amazing and have inspired me to do something worthwhile and meaningful, to dedicate myself to helping others.

I have left behind my job as an executive of a company which took me to America and across Europe for a role which is much more important to me, one where I can use my knowledge and business experience to do what really matters in life, which is ensuring good quality care is available for people when they need it.

If you need good care for yourself or for a loved one, please contact us to discuss how we can help.

Care Manager - Lucy Williams

Care Manager - Lucy Williams

Hello my name is Lucy.  I joined Home Instead Senior Care as I too believe in delivering care to older people that does ensure quality. I thoroughly enjoy my position as care manager working with Anitra.  Together we are working hard to change the way that care is delivered to the elderly in our local community.

I have worked in the care sector since 1996. I had initially chosen a work experience placement at a local general hospital in the physiotherapy department when I was still at school. This led me to my interest in being a care giver/support worker on the general and mental health wards into my mid-twenties. I have also worked with young people in supported living projects and supporting adults with mental health in the community.

Whichever area of care I have been fortunate enough to work in I have always come back to my roots and that is to care for older people. It’s my passion to enable people to fulfill independent and active lives to the best of their ability with support that can be relied upon and most of all trusted!

Care Co-ordinator

Kellie joined the team in March 2012 as care co-ordinator after actually working as a care giver for Home instead Senior Care. She works closely alongside Anitra and Kate to ensure the smooth running of schedules.

"Working as Care Co-ordinator is a fantastic job, and having met the majority of the clients whilst previously working as a care giver, I can match them to the perfect care giver who may for instance, share the same hobbies and likes/dislikes. We like to go that extra mile and make it personal."
