New care business to create 40 jobs
A new service specialising in caring for older people in their own homes has opened its doors in Milton Keynes this week and owners Sarah Bove and Sue Prosky are hoping to create 40 new jobs in the area. Home Instead Senior Care will offer non-medical at-home care for older people living in the area.
Business partners Sarah and Sue have worked together for over 20 years in the hotel and hospitality industry. However, through personal experience the duo came to realise that it was not always easy to find high-quality at-home care and decided that they would like to make a difference by providing a service that did things a little differently.
Sarah comments, “Sue’s mother had been ill for some time when she sadly passed away, and Sue therefore understands the difficulties associated with providing care for someone living remotely. When we learnt about the high-quality care associated with Home Instead we were really excited to bring this service to Milton Keynes. We are dedicated to helping older people stay living independently in their own homes and are proud to be offering a service that is truly personal.”
“I am lucky enough to live next door to my mum, who at the age of 85 is one of the most independent people I know. She is my inspiration for starting this business as I feel that all older people should have the chance to live as independently as she does!”
The business partners are now on the lookout for like-minded people to join their team. Sue comments, “We need people who want a rewarding and flexible career delivering care to people in their own homes. We offer full training so experience is not necessary but candidates must be caring, compassionate and keen to learn.”
