Home Instead Senior Care, a local at-home care company which specialises in care of the elderly has just been announced as a finalist in two categories at the Great Midland’s Care Awards, the Dignity in Care award and Care Team award.
The Dignity in Care award recognises the importance of treating people with dignity and respect when providing health and social care services. This is awarded to an individual who has demonstrated the significance of maximising service user independence and choice, whilst respecting and maintaining privacy and dignity at all times.

The finalist for this award is Sharon Roberts, who leads a team of live-in caregivers who provide round the clock care for a lady with severe Multiple sclerosis.
The Care team award will be presented to a team who are able to best demonstrate a shared vision and agreed goals. The Home Instead Senior Care team in Leicester was recently able to demonstrate excellent teamwork when the whole office assisted care co-ordinator, Jenny, to take part in Race for Life.
The awards will be presented at the East Midlands Conference Centre, Nottingham on 16th October 2010.
Lola Ojomo, who owns and runs Home Instead Senior Care’s Leicester office said “We are immensely proud to be nominated for these awards. It is superb to be acknowledged for what we do. We are passionate about providing the highest levels of care to our clients and believe all older people should have access to care services that provide them with the dignity and respect they deserve. It is a privilege to serve so many older people in the area.”
