At-home care company Home Instead Senior Care York held a family-friendly evening of fundraising, barn-storming and Ceilidh dancing at the English Martyr’s Hall on the 21st January, raising £1200 for Age UK York.
Music and dance were provided by “Celtic Blend” and the event welcomed over 100 guests to eat, dance and be merry, all in aid of this fantastic cause.
As a provider of at-home care for older people in and aroundYork, Home Instead owner Luke Norbury is passionate about raising money for Age UK York, a local charitable organisation that also provides care and support for senior citizens.
Luke comments: “A fantastic evening was had by all and I would like to thank everyone who came along to the event and made it such a resounding success. The band were fantastic and got everyone up and dancing and generally having a good time, which is what it was all about. I am very thankful for everyone’s donations, and as it was such a success, we are even thinking of making the event an annual thing.”
Age UK York CEO Sally Hutchinson comments, “Luke and the Home Instead team did fantastically well organising such a successful event and we are really grateful for all their hard work. The evening was great, and we are so pleased to accept this generous donation which will go towards our continuing work to help and support older people in the local community.”
