Home Instead Wimbledon & Kingston welcomed home a couple of familiar faces this week.
One of our favourite clients Ron and his wife returned to the fold this week after a brief spell with "another home care provider". Ron had been persuaded to change companies a couple of months ago as they were offered, what he thought, was the same service as Home Instead, for a few pounds less.
We received a call from Ron, who simply said as we answered the phone....."Can I come home?"
Poor Ron said that he hadn't realised how good we were, until he experienced how awful "they" were...."they just didn't turn up.. and when they did it was a different person each time". His previous regular CareGiver, Jacqui, was delighted to hear that Ron was back and couldn't wait to see them this week.
We also welcomed home our very first CareGiver last week, Sarah Summers, who provided care to our very first client back in September 2010. Sarah was loved by her clients and by us for her positive personality. Sarah has spent some time away working in Kingston Hospitial, but is back. She missed us and missed building the trusting relationships that she had with her Home Instead clients.
