Home Instead Senior Care hosted their annual Christmas party at the Beeston Roman Catholic church hall in Foster Avenue on Friday December 9.
Along with the 26 clients who attended were members of the Rotary Club of Beeston, dressed for the occasion in suits and black ties, some of Home Instead’s CAREGivers and the office staff from the company’s business centre on Technology Drive, Beeston Rylands; Primo Sule, Sarah Gell and Becky Houghton.
Clients attending the party had been collected by the CAREGivers and Rotarians, who gave their own time to make sure that all of the Home Instead clients who were able to be there got there.
Rotary Club members proffering a glass of sherry and a warm welcome met these party-going clients at the door of the church hall. The Rotary Club then served the clients a two-course Christmas dinner, which was followed with mince pies, coffee and mints.
The entertainment began with one of Home Instead’s own CAREGivers, Paul Strother, amazing those watching with his magic tricks. This was followed by a visit from the Round Hill School choir who came and sang Christmas carols and songs before Heather Mixture, a local accordion player, got everyone singing and dancing
At the end of a wonderful afternoon, each client was given a card and gift before being transported home, the transport again provided by Home Instead’s CAREGivers and members of Beeston Rotary Club.
