Helen is a lively 94 year old who lives in sheltered accommodation in South London. She used to be very active in the community, providing homecare to the elderly of Lambeth and Dulwich, and on a recent visit to see her she mentioned how much she missed visiting the park.
The following weekend my wife and I collected Helen and her wheelchair and took her on a whistle stop tour of Battersea, Clapham and Dulwich Parks
Helen has a great voice and loves to sing & decided to treat other park goers to a tune or two as we walked around the park, which caused all who heard her to stop in amazement, and then applaud and cheer loudly.
She had such a good day saying that we had made her so happy, that she couldn’t wait to get back to tell all the other residents about her day out.
