Alex, from Market Harborough, has spent her career in the care sector and brings a wealth of experience to at-home care company, Home Instead. Her first position in the care sector was as a night-time care assistant, Alex then went on to a number of varied roles and is now excited about being Care Manager, a position which takes her to the heart of the business.
Alex first came across Home Instead Senior Care when she made a business trip to Florida in 2007 to research how care is provided. Alex commented, “Home Instead in the UK was at that time in its infancy so I hadn’t heard of them. I was over in the US to understand more about the care sector and we visited and met with various companies but Home Instead, established over 16 years ago, was very impressive, I could see that they provided care to older people as it should be.”
Alex continued, “I knew that there was a need in the local area for a top quality care provider such as Home Instead, so I was keen to get involved. We only provide a minimum of one hour visits and each caregiver is matched to their client, this ensures that we always maintain continuity of caregiver which helps to develop a trusting relationship.”
Alex’s new role includes being responsible for the smooth running of the office, recruiting and training caregivers.
In her spare time, Alex loves spending time with her family and walking in the local countryside. As a new grandma, Alex is also enjoying spending time with her seven month old granddaughter.
