In an effort to support a growing number of older people from the Jewish community in South Liverpool several Home Instead staff have attended Jewish Cultural Awareness Training.
"I attended the training myself along with Paul Williams, our training manager." says, John Ward, Senior Manager of Home Instead Senior Care in Liverpool South. "The session was beneficial and very interesting. Having awareness and understanding of the specific needs of people from different cultural backgrounds will assist our CAREGivers to enhance further the high quality support they already provide. It is my intention to ensure all CAREGivers attend cultural, equality and diversity awareness training as part of their ongoing personal development. In addition to excellent training, we are actively looking to recruit more CAREGivers from within a variety of cultural groups, including the Jewish community. This will allow Home Instead Senior Care to improve the matching of Clients with the most appropriate CAREGiver.”
