After celebrating its 4th year of providing at-home care for senior people across the area, Home Instead Senior Care in Bristol helped its 4th client, Mrs James, to celebrate her 88th birthday in style.
Having provided care for Mrs James for over 4 years now, Mrs James was keen to share her special day with not only her family and friends, but also her Home instead caregiver Sarah Miller and owner of the company Sergio Mesen. The team from Home Instead were delighted to be invited to join in with Mrs James’s celebrations and brought her a number of gifts as well as sharing tea with her.
Before retiring, Mrs James worked as a teacher and raised 3 sons. She loves her garden, and in her spare time enjoys reading, listening to operatic music and also walking.
Sergio comments, “She is a wonderful lady and fiercely independent and it is great that we have been able to help her to stay in her own home for so long. It was a real testament to the strength of her relationship with Sarah, her caregiver, that she invited us along to share her special day. We all had a lot of fun celebrating her birthday with her and it was lovely to meet her family too.”
