We had Ellen Sheridan of the Stroke Association speak at our quarterly Caregiver Meeting. Initially Ellen discussed the two main causes of strokes, factors that increase the risk of strokes, and common methods of treatment.
Ellen then described the kind of care and support that caregivers might need to deliver in order to help people recovering from strokes. The main talk was followed by a lively question and answer session where Ellen offered some very useful and advice and tips. The talk was both informative and inspiring so a big thanks to Ellen.
Ellen kindly officiated at the raffle at the conclusion of the meeting. Sixty pounds was raised for the Stroke Association, thanks to all who supported the raffle.
